Particular solución que ha dado el estado municipal de Joinville (la cuna de la desaparecida Busscar) para el transporte de personas con movilidad reducida, algo así como un taxi bus o bus taxi:
"Joinville conta há 15 anos (completados em janeiro) com um serviço diferenciado e exclusivo para pessoas com necessidades especiais e seus acompanhantes: o Transporte Eficiente. O serviço é realizado diariamente por 12 micro-ônibus especialmente fabricados e adaptados para atender a estes clientes. Os veículos contam com elevador, corredores maiores e locais específicos para cadeiras de rodas.
Diariamente, em média, são 350 atendimentos de pessoas com mobilidade reduzida que utilizam o serviço para se deslocar a clínicas médicas, hospitais, escolas, faculdades, AACD, ACE, ADEJ, APAE, NAIPE e empresas para trabalhar. Os micro-ônibus buscam as pessoas em casa e as deixam no local solicitado e, no horário marcado, levam de volta para casa. Juntos os 12 carros percorrem todos os dias mais de 2.700 km. Durante os 15 anos de operação, o serviço oferecido pela Transtusa e Gidion já transportou mais de um milhão de passageiros.
Para agendar o transporte, os usuários devem telefonar com 24 horas de antecedência do compromisso e eles serão conduzidos ao seu destino conforme solicitado. Para o transporte no sábado, domingo ou na segunda-feira o agendamento deve ser feito na sexta-feira. Para os cancelamentos, o usuário deve avisar com mínimo de 12 horas de antecedência.
A pessoa com deficiência não paga passagem e, caso necessite de acompanhante, os dois não pagam passagem.
As empresas mantêm 31 funcionários específicos para esse serviço, que recebem treinamento especial para o atendimento exclusivo do Transporte Eficiente.
Horário de Operação: das 4h30 às 23h30, inclusive sábados e domingos.
